We help Ontario First Nations turn clean energy, northern diesel reduction, and economic priorities into funded, investment-grade projects, and carry them through to community ownership. Federal funding work is delivered Canada-wide, with on-site work as a project needs it.
Ontario is home to more First Nations than any other province, and a deep set of energy and economic programs to match. Many remote northern communities face the same diesel dependence we are built to solve, while southern Nations are advancing community energy and economic ventures of every kind.
The backbone is familiar to us. Ontario's Northern Ontario Indigenous Clean Energy Initiative is led by FedNor and funded through the federal Strategic Partnerships Initiative, a program we work with directly. On the provincial side we work with the IESO's Indigenous Energy Support Program and Indigenous Community Energy Plan program, plus Save on Energy's First Nations programs, all anchored by the federal programs that travel with us anywhere in Canada. Every engagement is governed by OCAP® principles, so data, decisions, and ownership stay with the community.
What we bring. Our delivered track record is on the Prairies, a precedent-setting utility franchise waiver, a hybrid community microgrid taken from feasibility through engineering, and Canada's first Indigenous CanExport grant. The same federal programs, including the Strategic Partnerships Initiative behind Ontario's NOICE, and the engineering discipline behind that work apply directly in Ontario.
Investment-grade feasibility and business cases tuned to IESO programs and northern community realities.
A funding stack drawing on IESO programs, the FedNor-led NOICE, and federal programs we use daily.
Procurement, project management, and training that ends with the community owning and operating the asset.
Yes. Feasibility, funding strategy, business cases, and federal applications are delivered Canada-wide, with on-site work scheduled as a project needs it. We already work with the federal Strategic Partnerships Initiative that funds Ontario's Northern Ontario Indigenous Clean Energy Initiative, so the machinery is familiar.
The IESO's Indigenous Energy Support Program and Indigenous Community Energy Plan program, the FedNor-led Northern Ontario Indigenous Clean Energy Initiative, and Save on Energy's First Nations programs, alongside the full slate of federal programs.
Yes. Remote, off-grid energy and diesel reduction is core to our work, and northern Ontario has dedicated streams, including the Northern Ontario Indigenous Clean Energy Initiative, plus federal clean-energy funding designed for fly-in communities.
